Interview with Iron & Steel Store Magazine

Kad Metal Gave an Interview to Iron & Steel Store Magazine

Kad Metal Chairman of the Board Kadir Namazcı made important statements about our company’s activities, export strategies, and industry assessments in his interview featured in the 211th issue of Iron & Steel Store Magazine.

Kad Metal’s Areas of Operation

Speaking about Kad Metal’s wide range of activities in the steel sector during the interview, Namazcı emphasized our expertise particularly in flat products and steel sheet products. He shared the following information about our company’s production infrastructure:

“As Kad Metal, we strive to operate wherever iron and steel are involved. We particularly operate in the flat products group, specifically in hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel sheets. We are also active in the manufacturing sector; we provide 24/7 laser cutting and bending services to all our customers.”

Kad Metal at International Fairs

Noting that they participated in EuroBLECH for the third time, Namazcı expressed that the fair plays a major role in establishing new customer connections every year:

“When we first participated in this fair, we started working with our first customers from the fair. In our second participation, we had the opportunity to appeal to more customers, and this year we aimed to reach even more customers and succeeded. Such fairs are of great importance for our company’s promotion and market expansion.”

Our Export Activities

When asked about Kad Metal’s strategy for expanding into foreign markets, Namazcı spoke about our current export activities:

“We are currently actively exporting to five countries. These countries include Germany, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, and Kosovo. Our goal is to gain new customers each year using platforms like fairs and to represent our country in the best way possible.”

Green Steel and Sustainability Efforts

Speaking about the green steel transformation process, Namazcı stated that as Kad Metal, we closely follow developments in this area:

“The green steel transformation is an important development for the sector. However, there are currently uncertainties about whether this process will be permanent. We continue to adapt to environmentally friendly production processes, but the future of the sector needs to become clearer on this matter.”

Industry Assessments

Stating that the iron and steel sector is subject to price movements globally dependent on China, Namazcı spoke about the effects of the global economic situation on the sector:

“The iron and steel sector is subject to prices that rise and fall depending on China worldwide. When China lowers prices, prices in our country also decrease; similarly, when they increase, prices here also increase. Although very good days may not await the steel sector in 2025, we hope that the sector will enter a recovery process in 2026.”

Future Expectations

For the steel sector, which experienced 2024 with the challenges brought by the pandemic and the effects of economic contraction, Namazcı shared his expectations for the future:

“2024 was a period when we gradually recovered from the effects of the pandemic. However, this year was economically difficult. I foresee a similar picture for 2025. I hope that by 2026, the iron and steel sector will gain upward momentum.”
